Rives, of Virginia: Also, the Letters of Mr. Lawrence, Above Named, Together With the Famous Faneuil Hall Proceedings, Resolutions, &C. In Favor of Free Trade, in the Year 1820

If the prominent men of Virginia, of both political parties, will give up their party warfare, and re solve themselves into a committee of the whole, on the common wealth, to improve the state of iculture, by making two blades of grass grow, where there is now ut one; will establish manufactures; and carry on a well adjusted system of internal improvements, they will then have done something that will be substantial, abiding, which will stand as memorials of their patriotic devotion to the ia terest of the people, through all time. Let your common school system go hand in hand with the employment of your people, you may be quite certain that the adaption of these systems at once, will aid each other.
